I don't mind the difficulty of the mission itself, I'm just very mad that most of the times, the mission is over before we can even get to Togo because the other team is either all henchies who die like 2 minutes in, or consists of 1 or 2 really low level Cantha new players who can't do any better.

Aparently, skipping the cutscenes can cause the mission to bug in that both Menhlo and Togo will not follow you, but not skipping it causes the stupid afflicted to pound on you while you just stand there and listen.

That mission is a bitch yeah, your best bet is to do it from the cantha side, and get a competent team to protect togo. Mhelno escort is relatively easier and can be done with henchies.

I did this from cantha side, we got a good team, everyone lvl 18-19 and camped one of the spawn points for the afflicted. Whenever togo would get in trouble, a few of us would rush and help him.

Honestly, appart from obvious bugs, the mission is not that bad. You have 16 players with you, lots of extra healing, and should one of them be a MM, its really easy ride.

The hard part is the very begining, which takes like 2 min to complete. Took me about 1.5 hours with trials + mission time to get everything done. Its doable, but lots of it is based on luck.

Anet should fix the bugs something soon.

Yeah I agree, the same with later quest and missions could use some re-tweaking some with the mobs.

common problem is that most people dont take thier time. I had a little dp at the end of this. I took all hench. At the end where you fight your 2 bosses, Yigi (spelling im really not sure what his name was lol) and the farmer, let togo tank a little. He's pretty tough, and just hang back for a bit. This is a little easier if you can attack at range. BUT TAKE YOUR TIME. and I mean like 45 minutes of time

I attempted this mission (zen __?__) three times with henchies, got to the end and died all three times. I got lucky with one pug and completed it, even though we had two rits, two assasins, a ranger, and a monk, all level 15 and below. Seems that the main trick is taking your time and pulling whenever possible, especially when dealing with the poison areas. As to the original question posted by heavenscloud2, yeah, I think they've made this pre-sear-like area fairly difficult, but I think they've done it in order to promote building groups out of real players, rather than running through everything with hench groups. Also, in case anyone didn't notice this, the poison "affliction" thing that causes the hp degen during the mission can be passed from player to player if people are in relatively close contact; so, if you're cured of the stuff, stay away from people that aren't... I kept losing the affliction, then people would come toward me and I'd get it again. Also, I recommend upgrading armor... I'm still using the original stuff, simply because I don't want to waste money on stuff I'll upgrade in the next outpost (I'm stingy, I'm no GW millionaire).

For the Zen Daishi mission or whatever, we were able to do it with only 2 people and 4 henchies, with the healer hench as the only source of healing (although the ritualist hench probably did some healing too)

Granted, we were both level 16 then, so we didn't die as fast. Basically, let Talon Silverwing rush Jiyo and focus fire on him, try to spike him as fast as possible. Once he's down, the other farmer isn't too hard.

Hey all!
Well on behalf of those of us that have completed the missions:

Most of us did 70% of the enter thing with henchies. It all about knowing how you play and what henchie combination works for that kind of play. Generally the more conservative the better. Its hard, yes, but can be done. Just ask us

And as for the economy, like all things before, when guildwars first came out, it will find a medium.

Don't judge a game like this by the first three days of play
All of the missions are so wonderfully done! And the end is so awesome. Makes it all worth it.

Love to all!

Parts are hard yes, pre-seer has its stupid moments, the 4 of you lvl 13's have a quest to kill 50ish lvl 16's.....riiiiiight. -.-

Most of it is doable, but some parts are just evil. Like the afflicted, they blow up when they die, I only have so much hp, I cant endure too freaking much.

I personally love the difficulty. It's not mindless to the point of being numbing, and actually forces you to think about what skills you bring. As for Vizunah, don't skip the cinematic for now. It's relatively short anyways. When I did it the day before yesterday, I completed it with a level 13 factions monk (boon prot with absolutely atrocious energy management -- i.e. almost none) and 7 hench, and the other team was a level 20 warrior also with another 7 hench of his own. I died once or twice, and the rest was actually quite painless.

Just kill the ritualists first, then the elementalists. And of course, if there is a monk there, aim for that before the others. And if all else fails, why not give henchies a try? The greatest thing about them is that they respond very very well to ctrl-spacebar spam.

I did it as an assassin with a party of henchies alone. It took two or three tries, but I got it with gold completion. Personally, I don't mind going at a mission two or three time with henchies to finish it up. At least they don't moan and complain like other players if I make a mistake.
Unfortunatly, going with henchies in Vizunah still makes people moan and complain, because you aren't the only party

Prophecies was too easy. Factions isn't really challenging, it's just difficult in some places. Then again, I've been using full henchman teams all the time. I wish enemies could be smart rather than many.

did that mission at lvl 12 with henchies (as an assassin)
its hard for a reason, it makes it much more fun now the missions are actually challenging, forces you to actually pay attention. a challenge is much more fun than an easy mission

I wish it was that easy. But if it fails, it will take another 45 minutes, and another. Result? A bad mood at the end of the evening, little sleep and a head ache next day!

The simple fact is that there are people (and Arenanet) who look upon missions as the cream on the cake, something to enjoy. While others look upon it as something blocking their way to continue the game. That won't change. Therefore I keep pleading for a system that favors both: make missions optional and provide alternatives to get to the next part of the worldmap.

agreed

the real prob is that, those who have completed this are either ppl with a 24/7 available guild or those who got a lucky PUG (pretty rare stuff, Sci-Fi to me)

it means that GW isnt casual play anymore .. what can casual players / guild member do ? just wait for months for a lucky PUG after 500 tries? wait 2 weeks that u got a day where the guildies are all available ?

in a way, i means i gotta choose between an active guild full of "strangers" or a guild with friend and ppl i like but i cant go further in game (that's my case atm .. )

it also means that someone has to "sacrifice himself" and play Monk for the group to succeed ? Monk is something that pisses off ppl since u r not playing, u just watching and clicking stupid RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing lifebars for hours.. it's hench job.. job they cant handle ...
as for myself, even if i were PAYED, i wouldnt play monk...
